When Monte moves to the Highlands of Scotland, he is thrown into a new world. Whisperings of abnormal enchantments and vicious cat siths grip the place he now calls home. Ben Nevis, the great mountain and guardian of the land, is sickened with a dark power that gets blacker by the day. And to make matters worse, an indefinite moratorium on magic has been declared. The Mystics must gain control of the growing threats in the area before the Norms find out. Yet somehow Monte manages to conjure his own set of troubles. During a time when Mystics are supposed to be invisible, Monte does just the opposite.
